The exhibition Interwoven Dreams transforms the overlooked and discarded into realms of beauty, while raising awareness of sustainable living and highlighting the essential elements of nature through the works of Abdulla P.A. and Katja Loher.
Abdulla creates a world of metamorphosis, transforming the ordinary into the spectacular. Discarded and overlooked items come to life under his creative touch, telling stories that only he can perceive. Through his artistry, Abdulla transcends conventional notions of beauty—not through standard techniques, but by embracing the raw energy of each material. He uses these elements as the lifeblood of his artistic vision. The power of Abdulla’s sculptural installations is resounding.
Fragile yet resonant, the objects he assembles form a compelling political statement. Their intricate interplay creates a magical representation of our reality, highlighting our relationship with nature amidst relentless progress.
Katja Loher is redefining video art by presenting her creations as organic sculptural forms—what she calls Videosculptures—instead of the traditional flat screen. Her work is a nearly seamless fusion of the technological and the organic, reflecting a digital world imbued with magic.Loher’s artistic practice engages with fragile ecosystems, amplifying the voices of their smallest, yet most vital, inhabitants—both endangered and essential to our planet’s balance. Adopting a bird’s-eye perspective, she employs symmetrical repetitions of moving bodies arranged in constantly shifting constellations, evoking the effect of peering through a microscope or a kaleidoscope.
